These words from President Obama will be remembered forever. At Senator Ted Kennedy's funeral, many hearts were touched and brought together in the wake of this tremendous loss. The state of Massachusetts will be changed for a long time. The entire country will have to figure out if there will ever be a man like him again.
Here is an excerpt from yesterdays eulogy, given by President Barrack Obama:
"He was given a gift of time that his brothers were not. And he used that time to touch as many lives and right as many wrongs as the years would allow," Obama said in a eulogy that also gently made mention of Kennedy's "personal failings and setbacks."
As a member of the Senate, Kennedy was a "veritable force of nature," the president said. But more than that, the "baby of the family who became its patriarch, the restless dreamer who became its rock."
Those left behind to mourn "grieve his passing with the memories he gave, the good he did, the dream he kept alive" Obama said inside the packed church
Those are some mighty fine words.
What is a shocker to me is what Huckabee said about both Obama and Kennedy a few days ago. He couldn't even wait for the funeral to pass.
Did you hear what that devil said?
Check it out...
The 2008 Republican presidential candidate suggested during his radio show, "The Huckabee Report," on Thursday that, under President Obama's health care plan, Kennedy would have been told to "go home to take pain pills and die" during his last year of life.
No class that man...in fact he aint even a man in my book.
He's more like a Dirty Dog...sing it Boo Boo!
